Actors Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s recent Telugu release Bro has started off on a good note at the box office. As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnlk, the film has got a thunderous start right from the opening day itself as it collected Rs 30 crore.

The Telugu film’s occupancy rate was 73.92 percent. Besides Pawan Kalyan‘s huge following, his on-screen chemistry with his nephew and co-star Sai Dharam Tej also seems to have played a strong role in bringing the audience to the theatres.

Before Bro, the Telugu audience was craving to watch a complete entertainer at the theatres. After the release of Adipurush, films such as SPY, Hidimba and Baby received a lukewarm response from the audience.

The film, directed by Samuthirakani, was expected to face competition at the box office by cricketer MS Dhoni’s maiden production Let’s Get Married aka LGM but the film barely made Rs 80 lakh, giving Bro a clean sweep in theatres. At the Telugu box office, Bro is not expected to face any tough competition for the next two weeks. The next big release at the box office is going to superstar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar, which releases on August 11.

Bro’s story revolves around the life of Mark, played by Sai. He with an accident and ends up meeting God of Time, played by Pawan. The story details around Mark’s efforts of tying loose ends within a grace period of 90 days granted by the God of Time.
