LMPD: Woman dead after a shooting in the Russell neighborhood

Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Russell neighborhood Sunday night.According to LMPD, it happened just before 9 p.m. inside the Platinum Food Mart on 10th and West Broadway.When police arrived, they found a woman who had been shot.She was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.LMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, which is ongoing at this time.
