10 most expensive homes sold in Sussex County, Sept. 11-17


A house in Sparta that sold for $1.4 million tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Sussex County in the past week.

In total, 70 residential real estate sales were recorded in the area during the past week, with an average price of $429,941. The average price per square foot was $249.

The prices in the list below concern real estate sales where the title was recorded during the week of Sep. 11 even if the property may have been sold earlier.

10. $565,000, detached house at 1027 Lakeside Drive

The sale of the single family residence at 1027 Lakeside Drive in Highland Lakes has been finalized. The price was $565,000, and the new owners took over the house in August. The house was built in 1961 and has a living area of 1,097 square feet. The price per square foot was $515. The deal was finalized on Aug. 25.
