Alia Bhatt on moving in with Ranbir Kapoor prior to marriage: We were actually going to get


Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor‘s paths likely crossed in childhood due to their family ties in Bollywood, but there isn’t a specific documented moment of their introduction. Alia has spoken about being a huge fan of Ranbir since she was a child. Their professional introduction likely happened when they were cast together. They co-starred in the fantasy epic “Brahmastra,” which was released in September 2022.There are reports that their friendship blossomed during filming.
In 2018, Ranbir confirmed they were dating. They kept their relationship relatively private until their wedding in April 2022. They recently welcomed their daughter, Raha, in November 2022.In an old interview with Filmfare, Alia was asked about her views on suggesting a live-in relationship to others. She candidly shared that she and Ranbir had initially planned to tie the knot before circumstances led them to decide on cohabitation instead. Their intention to move in together was a precursor to their wedding plans, but the onset of the pandemic forced them to put those plans on hold.

He said, “If you can,why not? I think it’s great. You get used to each other, you get comfortable, and you build so many memories without the pressure and that baggage, or like,’shaadi karni hai’. To each his own.” She further added, “We were actually going to get married, which is why we planned to move in together, but then the pandemic happened, so the planning couldn’t stop. So we were like, at least go ahead with moving in, and we’ll figure out the rest. Let this all settle down. Actually, we planned it like that only.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt recently starred in Karan Johar‘s comeback movie, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” alongside Ranveer Singh. Moreover, she is all set for her next adventure in Vasan Bala’s film “Jigra,” where she acts with Vedang Raina. Alia shared some cool photos with Vedang, hinting that they finished filming in Singapore.
