Czech Republic v Turkey: Patrik Schick a doubt for Euro 2024 Group F finale

The Czech Republic could be without key striker Patrik Schick for their crucial final group game at Euro 2024 against Turkey.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward went off injured in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Georgia in their previous game.

A win is required by the Czech Republic in Hamburg on Wednesday to finish in the top two of Group F and secure a place in the last 16.

“Schick was in the care of doctors, physiotherapists and masseurs for two days. The injury is getting better. We’ll see,” coach Ivan Hasek said.

“He is a key player, one of the top scorers in Europe, but if he’s not ready, somebody will have to replace him and I believe they will be ready for that.”

The Czech Republic reached the quarter-final stage of Euro 2020, when Schick finished joint top-scorer with Cristiano Ronaldo.
