On Wednesday German foreign ministry says present heightened tensions in the border area with Israel could escalate further at any time.

The Ministry further said that there is also an increased risk of attacks in Lebanon, which could be directed against foreigners or large hotels.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock also cautioned on Tuesday that “miscalculation” could trigger all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel, urging the need for “extreme restraint” as tensions increase.

“With every rocket across the Blue Line between Israel and Lebanon, the danger increases that a miscalculation could trigger a wider conflict,” Baerbock said on social media during a visit to Beirut, referring to the demarcation line between Lebanon and Israel.
