Gett hosts TaxiNow Knowledge Academy sessions for aspiring London black cab drivers

In a bid to support aspiring black cab drivers take on the Knowledge of London test, black cab app Gett announced the launch of its Knowledge Academy sessions in partnership with TaxiNow.

The news was shared by a Gett spokesperson via social media, expressing their delight in hosting the inaugural session.

Following a successful open evening event, Gett will now provide Knowledge students with the opportunity to attend twice-weekly sessions at their drivers’ office. Led by experienced tutors, these sessions aim to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills required to pass the challenging Transport for London (TfL) Knowledge of London topographical test.

The sessions, open to all those currently preparing for the test, come at no cost.

A Gett spokesperson said via social media: “Delighted to host the first Knowledge Academy session with TaxiNow.

“Following a successful open evening event, Gett will now be welcoming aspiring black cab drivers at our drivers’ office for twice weekly sessions with experienced tutors.

“The sessions are free to all those currently preparing for the TfL Knowledge of London test, the main hurdle in attaining a black cab badge.”

Matteo de Renzi, Gett CEO, commented on the post saying: “Nobody genuinely expected the Gett Driver Office in London to become such a popular spot for the trade. We are working all hands on deck for a brilliant future of the taxi trade in the countries where we operate.”
