The KHDA has published the 2024-24 inspection results for Dubai private schools.

Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has added the 2023-2024 school inspection ratings of Dubai’s private schools to its online directory ahead of the required school re-registration window.

While the full 2023-24 KHDA inspection reports are yet to be published, the overall ratings for the vast majority of Dubai private schools are now updated on the KHDA’s online directory.

2023-24 KHDA inspection ratings for schools following Indian and Pakistani curricula were published in November as their academic year starts in April.

What are the KHDA inspections?

The KHDA conducts annual inspections in collaboration with the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB); these inspections use a standardised framework to assess all private schools (following a wide range of curricula).

Schools are rated Outstanding, Very Good, Good, Acceptable, Weak or Very Weak based on various factors including academic achievement, leadership, delivery of the curriculum, facilities, and student happiness.

How will the latest KHDA ratings affect school fees?

KHDA ratings are significant for several reasons, one being fees. The rate at which schools can adjust their fees is linked to their latest KHDA inspection rating.

As reported last month, schools that improve on their KHDA rating will be able to increase fees by up to 5.2%.
