London news: Sadness as life saving bleed kit stolen from Peckham High Street.

It took Lisa ten months to get permission to have a Daniel Baird bleed box unit installed on Peckham High Street. Now, despite all the hard work it took, the unit was broken into on December 17 last year and the bleed bag was stolen.

Lisa who runs the anti knife crime charity ‘Let the youth live’, told the Havering Daily:”The unit door was opened and spotted by a local resident who let me know.Inside the bleed bag had gone and instead someone had stuffed paper there.

“This is very sad to see as it took me ten months hard work with the council to get the unit put up and now it has gone. This could cost someone their life as the unit was put their in case of an emergency.”

Lisa is rightly very upset and concerned as to why someone would steal the bag inside, she added: “I know they can be sold abroad for money, so perhaps that is why it was stolen. We need it here on the High Street as these Daniel Baird bleed bags are vital life saving tools.”

Lisa is a fantastic anti knife crime campaigner who works hard with the youth in her local community and donates as many of these bleed bags across South London as she can. This theft has left very upset and disheartened.
