‘Ongoing’ Langley police incident | CityNews Vancouver

Mounties are dealing with an “ongoing” police incident in Langley near the US border.

Road closures are in effect on 0 Avenue between 232 and 240 streets.

Callers to CityNews reported seeing a helicopter flying overhead and multiple unmarked police vehicles in the area, while others have suggested the police incident may involve a shoot-out or barricading situation.

One caller claims residents aren’t allowed to go to their homes within the closed-off area as well.

First responders are on the scene, CityNews has reached out to BC Emergency Health Services for more details.

The Langley RCMP says it is unable to provide any further information on the matter at this time.
