PM Update: Much cooler Saturday, with occasional showers through the weekend

The weekend forecast might be payback for all the sunshine during the workweek. Today was a bit transitional. Still plenty warm, but cooler than it was, with highs mainly in the 70s. Much cooler air takes up residence through Saturday. Whether we break out of it Sunday is a bit of a question mark.

Through tonight: A shower or rumble is possible as soon as the sunset period, especially west. Better odds develop at night, with about a 10th to a quarter of an inch of rain on tap where it rains consistently. Lows end up in the mid-50s or so.

Tomorrow (Saturday): Occasional showers are a good bet. The steadiest might tend toward morning and midday, but drizzle may also be an issue when it’s not raining. Highs might only manage the upper 50s and lower 60s in most spots. Another quarter inch of rain may fall. Winds will blow from the east around 10 mph.

Sunday: Lots of clouds yet again. A front moving toward us from the west should help try to mix the atmosphere and get some warmer air in, and perhaps some sun as well. Additional rounds of showers or storms are possible, with afternoon favored. Temperatures try for 70 or beyond, but how quick we clear out and stop the rain will be critical to highs. Winds should turn to come from the south around 10 mph.
