Tampa’s Water Street will get new condo, office tower, hotel and more


Three new projects are coming to Tampa’s Water Street neighborhood including an office complex, a mixed-use entertainment destination and a condominium tower set to be will be the tallest building in the district.

The developer, Strategic Property Partners, announced the plans in a media release on Monday.

The entertainment component will be located between S. Morgan St and S. Jefferson St, just north of Amalie Arena. It will include a hotel, a parking garage and more.

“This dynamic project, complete with new restaurants, retail, live performance venue, and a hotel, will build on the vibrant atmosphere at Amalie Arena by providing a complementary and unique experience,” Strategic Property Partners CEO Josh Taube said in a statement.

The offices and the condo will be located north of the 900 and 1000 blocks of E. Cumberland Ave. The office building will feature retail on the ground floor.

“From the inception of Water Street Tampa, we aspired to create a superior corporate relocation opportunity,” Taube said in a satement. “We are successfully delivering on our vision of Water Street Tampa and believe its unique neighborhood energy, vibrancy, and amenities will become an unparalleled location attracting best in class companies and talent to the West Coast of Florida.”

The plans also call for new green space along Water Street that could be used for open-air markets, outdoor concerts, and other activities.

The road and utility infrastructure work for these additions to WST has already begun and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2025.
