A167 reopens after earlier flooding in both directions

The A167 has reopened in both directions following earlier flooding from the B6300 Browney Lane to the A177 South Road, Cock o’ the North Roundabout, Meadowfield.

Delays on the A1058 Coast Road westbound near St Peter’s are starting to ease after an earlier lane closure due to a dog in the road.

Delays and heavy traffic on the A184 eastbound between the A1 J69 and the A189 Redheugh Bridge junction.

Disruption to Lumo services after tain derailment

Disruption on Lumo train services due to a derailment at a depot between Berwick and Edinburgh. Services will be disrupted between Edinburgh and Newcastle in both directions.

Flooding on the A19 roundabout at ​A690 Durham Road

The inside lane of the A19 roundabout on the A690 Durham Road is closed due to flooding on the eastern side.

Delays on Lumo services due to person being hit by a train near Chester le Street

Delays on Lumo services running between Newcastle and London Kings Cross in both directions. This is due to a person being hit by a train near Chester le Street.

A train which has been derailed causing disruption to services between Newcastle and Edinburgh

No TransPennine Express services are running between Edinburgh and Berwick-Upon-Tweed until approximately 12:00. This is due to a derailment at a depot in the area.

Road transport will run between Edinburgh, Berwick and Newcastle. Passengers can use their ticket on CrossCountry services between Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Person hit by a train between Newcastle and Darlington

It is reported that a person has been hit by a train between Newcastle and Darlington. Services in the region are subject to delays.

No Go North East bus services due to strike action

A reminder that there will be no Go North East bus services running across the region due to indefinite strike action.

The continuous walkout on started on Saturday, October 28, resulting in all of the operator’s services being cancelled until further notice.

Train to Edinburgh terminated at Newcastle due to derailment

The 10:30 LNER servince from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh due 15:09 will be terminated at Newcastle due to a derailment within the depot. Passengers travelling to Edinburgh from Newcastle on this service should board the 13:55 LNER service.

Flooding on A167(M) Central Motorway

One lane closed on the A167(M) Central Motorway Northbound prior to and under the A193 New Bridge Street roundabout due to flood water.

Wallnook Lane blocked due to flooding

It is reported that Wallnook Lane, in Langley Park, County Durham, is blocked due to flooding at Front Street.

It is reported that the A167 is closed in both directions due to flooding from the B6300 Browney Lane to the A177 South Road, Cock o’ the North Roundabout, Meadowfield.

The A691 reopen after flooding in the area

Durham Constabulary have announced that the A691 has reopened after being closed in both directions due to flooding.

The force said that flooding in Lanchester resulted in the closure of “most of the roads in the village”. The latest update states that some side streets in the village will remain closed until the water has had chance to clear.
