UPDATE: Highway 37 collision

OPP have provided more information regarding a fatal collision on Highway 37 late Wednesday morning.

A pickup truck and SUV collided in the area of Boundary Road and the pickup ended up in a ditch filled with water with the driver being trapped.

The driver, a 53-year-old man from Stone Mills Township, was pronounced dead at the scene after several rescue attempts by civilians were unsuccessful. No one else was in the truck.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a trauma centre in Kingston with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the collision continues.
