ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Ji Woong personally addresses fans about his recent cursing controversy

ZEROBASEONE member Kim Ji Woong has personally spoken up to address his cursing controversy, approximately 2 weeks after footage of his fan  call garnered attention online.

On February 17 KST, Kim Ji Woong wrote to his fans,

“You must have waited a long time. My heart was heavy all the while.

To our Ze_Rose who stood by my side unconditionally, I’m sorry for making you worry.

When I thought about how this incident wasn’t something I had to bear on my own, but something that must have also affected Ze_Rose and caused you distress, my heart did not feel comfortable.

For some, it might feel too late, but for me, I am thankful for the opportunity to address the issue even now.

As always, I will do my best right by your side so that Ze_Rose can smile and be happy.

Ze_Rose, thank you and I love you.”

Earlier on this day, Wake One Entertainment released an official statement to refute the accusations that the ZEROBASEONE member used profanity after wrapping up a fan call. According to the agency, a forensic analysis of the recorded video showed that the individual who spoke the profane word “ssibal” was not Kim Ji Woong, although it was difficult to determine who had spoken the word due to limitations in the analysis.
